If you’ve read my father’s blog, you’ve seen his hilarious collection of Bush quotes. Here is a collection of quotes from poetry or random artists that apply to my life.
See if you can guess who they’re by:
“Truth, of course, must be stranger than fiction, for we have made fiction to suit ourselves.”
“Change your thoughts and change your world.”
“People sometimes say that the way things happen in the movies is unreal, but actually it’s the way things happen to you in life that’s unreal. The movies make emotions look so strong and real, whereas when things really do happen to you, it’s like watching television — you don’t feel anything.”
“Better than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace.”
“One must desire something to be alive.”
“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.”
“If God didn’t create homosexuals, there wouldn’t be any.”
“I think everybody should just like everybody.”
Alright well that put me in a political/philosophical mood. HEERREE WE GO!
I wish we could have world rulers who ruled with love and not fear. I wish humans could just use the gift of language to resolve issues, rather than blow eachother up. I mean, please. Why would we be given language anyway, if we don’t even use it to save our own behinds?
I want to believe that everyone can just love everyone and not get caught up in the small stuff. Like making money or cars or houses or politics or sexual orientation or religion. I feel so small, mostly because I know I AM. I am not larger than life, and I think that if everyone took a look around we’d find that there is so much more to life than this.
Than blogging. Than paperwork. Than luxury cars or perfectly manicured lawns or, you get the point. Sometimes everything just feels ridiculous. Humans are ridiculous, myself included.

Here’s one of my favorite quote:
Behind every good man there is a woman rolling her eyes. (Bruce Almighty)
Seriously, I think your parents told you your birthday was like 6 years after it actually was (due to mass amnesia or something like that). Your observations are refreshingly and surprisingly brilliant. =] I’m sad your babysitting tied you up last night, but I still have a little under two weeks left in CA. See you Monday!
