This winter break I took a trip to San Fran, Monterey, Las Vegas, and Pahrump.
In san Francisco my mom took us (Her friend & his son, Taylor, Rennen, Dennis, & me) to the Nutcracker.
I’m not usually a ballet kind of person, but despite the frilly constumes and dainty dancing, there was a male dancer with tight nylons and oh-so-grab-able buns. Taylor and I enjoyed our balcony view.
We later went to china town for an almost too authentic chinese food experience. Pig feet or fish cakes anyone?
Before the show, I broke a heel of one of my amazing italian shoes. Fortunately, I got to go shoe and dress shopping for winter formal and got some that make up for the loss. Hooray! (I’ll post pictures of Jacob and I after the dance actually happens so you can see the gold shoes in all their glory!)
After San Francisco my mom, Taylor, Rennen, and me took a drive to Monterey and visited cannery row. (Dennis had left to Africa for the Dakar race from SF.) We had our palms read, and then drove back to Valencia to sleep.
The following morning, we drove to Pahrump (we pronounce it Pha-rump) and layed around for several days; sleeping in late, watching movies, and goofing around. Later, Jacob got to come visit with my dad, Giancarlo, Diego, and Ines! We went to a ghost town called Rhyolite about an hour away, drove past several brothels.
Above is a sign for one of the forementioned brothels.

In Rhyolite there was an abandoned artists’ house and surrounding were unusual works of art, to say the least. I thought the most interesting were the works of a twisted kind of religious symbolism. The pictures above are of the last supper, and a person (woman?) on a cross.
It’s eerie to see a town that once was home to 10,000 people diminished to nothing more than a few foundations, crumbled walls, and piles of rusty tin cans.

I love these pictures! Send me the whole lot of them puleeze. Thanks for hanging out with me for two weeks straight! mom
nice summary!
sounds like fun.
can’t wait to hang out soon!
Whoa! Settle down! You are up to way too much… you have to at least pretend that sometimes you life isn’t always exciting so the rest of us don’t get jealous.
Looks like fun!
NICE, it’s all that I can say.
