As some of you may know, I (along with several other ICU club members from Valencia) am going to Washington D.C. this month on the 22nd-27th to lobby congress about the war in Northern Uganda!
I’ll be there with about 1,000 other high aged (around there) people for one cause.
I understand they get hit up with complaints/requests about our country all the time but
I REALLY HOPE IT GOES WELL!
There are peace talks going on in Juba (Africa) in regards to the war in Uganda, but the U.S. only has ONE diplomat over there to show JOSEPH KONY (evil guy abducting thousands of children to be child soldiers in attempts to overthrow gov’t for over 20 years) that WE DO CARE and that WE WANT THE WAR TO END. We want the thousands upon thousands of people DYING every week in displacement camps to be helped, and we want them to be able to rise from the after-effects of British Imperialism and a 21 year long war!
