Hello again!

Long time no post. (About a month now! Sorry for being so boring!)

As the last month of school is speeding by, I’ve found myself with a severe lack of sleep and endless projects. Finals are coming up, as well.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

I adopted a soldier in Iraq at soldiersangels.org. I write one letter per week and one care package a month. I figured I didn’t know much about the war in Iraq and don’t really know anyone involved there and I wanted to learn more and open my mind (and hopefully let a soldier know they’re appreciated.)

On May 3rd, Jacob and I went to prom!

Last Tuesday we had our last ICU meeting of the year. I am sad our President Alli and devoted member Robert are leaving (I went to DC with both of them), but I am looking forward to being president next year and hopefully doing a ton of good for the kids in Uganda.
Speaking of DC, I don’t believe I ever posted any pictures.

The gang I went with consisted of: Sam (our advisor, AKA Miss Neylan), Alli, and Robert.
The adventure in DC makes me so excited to see what these next couple years have in store for ICU.

In this past month I have also gotten involved in a program at my school called Circle of Friends. Students have lunch with Special Ed students (I’m in a group of three) and get to know them. It’s proven itself to be really beneficial to both the regular ed and the special ed students. I am excited to see where Circle of Friends goes, as well. (Although the name does sound slightly nerdy. : ] )
