About Me

My name is Amelia Shelton, I’m 15 and I live quite the chaotic life. I’m in 10th grade, I live in suburbian southern california and I enjoy various activities, such as playing my violin, writing poetry, painting, people watching, and drawing. I also am active in a club at my highschool called ICU dedicated to saving child soldiers in northern Uganda. I live with 6 other people, two of which are my two dads and growing up with two gay dads has really shaped who I am. I could probably go on forever soooo that’s it for now. :] Oh, and by the way, eccentric is a severe understatement.

“Hide under blankets in my room at night
and smile at all the memories i can salvage-
smile at the insomnia and the pressure on my chest.
give me a flashlight, pen, and paper.
I’ll write letters to you from under these sheets,
and even though you might never get them
at least I won’t bottle it up.
maybe if my imagination is fit
i can even pretend that I lived.
I’ll build off of all the things i started but didn’t finish.
the letters might be angry
